Yes, that checks out perfectly. It wasn't too far from Tunbridge Wells after all! St Michael's School (now converted to flats) was originally the Church Missionaries Childrens Home. It's interesting to see somewhere that now has more trees than in the past!

I'm afraid I can't match this one up - I can't find any definite features that correlate. There is no heathland in the area at present. The Manor is Italianate, rather than Gothic. There's nothing particularly characteristic about Castlehill Wood. Unless roads, railways or other identifiable features can be pointed out, then I'd tend to believe that this is actually somewhere else (no idea where).
