Number 62 Cross Road was destroyed by a bomb during the German air raid on Coventry on the night of 14th November 1940. Numbers 60 and 64 were both so badly damaged that they were demolished. The gap left in the terrace is still there today.

as far as I understand these were the last "top shops" in Coventry and had there top storeys removed in the 1970s. The workers lived in the bottom two floors and the factory ran across the whole block on the top floor.
