St Leonard's mission church. This was built in 1927, to service the growing community in this rapidly developing community. It was probably only ever intended as a temporary structure, and in 1937 the St Mary-the-Virgin church building was completed in the land to the rear. It explains the anomaly, to some, of the church being called St Mary's, but the adjoining road being called St Leonard's Avenue. |

St John's Church hall. This building pre-dated slightly the building of the actual church, which it adjoined. There was another smaller hall, which was incorporated to the rear of the later church building. |

Railway Terrace. These were tied cottages built for employees of the LNWR railway. They were built some years before the rest of this part of Kenton was developed - probably around the time Kenton Station was opened in 1912. |
