In 1932 this building site was opened as the Plaza Super Cinema. The stage is underneath the road at the back which is at a high level. The cinema closed, became a bingo hall, closed, and has now been renovated and is in use as a theatre and cinema.

Mersey Bridge. The area to the right has now been covered over.

This area is now the bus station.

Ward Brothers Ltd Hat Factory. Most of this building is now apartments. Stockport Hatting Museum is located here. This is the last chimney standing in Stockport.
