The Great Western Railway's Leamington Spa (General) Station. Its original overall roof was long gone by 1932 (the truncated remains can be seen on the two platforms in this view). All was soon to be swept away in the complete re-building of the station in a rather severe art deco style. This late 1930's station is a remarkably complete survival including original waiting room and refreshment room furnishings and fittings. It is a very well cared for facility in the capable hands of Chiltern Rail, a company which clearly cares a great deal about the level of service it offers its customers. |

The horizontal raod just above the trees is Bury Road, the diagonal road is Sargeaunt Street, the semi circular road at the top is Kennan Avenue, and the circular part left (centre) is what would become Flavel Crescent. |
