Hawkins and Timpson's Globe Rope Works. Started in 1881 and closed sometime late 60's or early 70's. I seem to recal it expanded onto the mud chute dring its existence. My Grandfather was a stoker there for some time.

The Mudchute. Created from the spoil during the construction of the docks. Hence the name.
