Junction distant signals, the signal on the left is 'off' showing that the signals ahead are set for a clear run through to the next signal box along the line at the LMSR Avenue Station. This view shows the back of these signals, they apply to trains coming from Rugby which would arrive from the left hand side of the view. |

The detail in the photo is inadequate to be certain, but I note these signals are only a few hundred yards (400?) from the signal box and junction signals. This seems a short distance - could they possibly be 'outer homes' to give the 400 yard distance to the junction to allow a train to approach while the junction is in use which the signals near the box would not allow? |
