| The Military used this as a store in WW2. My older cousin and his mates were kids in the 1940s and after the war they got into that building and found boxes of bullets.One lad threw a bullet on a fire they had and it went off and could have killed one of them.

| Jarrow Palmers where iron ore was turned into steel in the Blast Furnaces. It was then passed to the Rolling Mills next door where it was made into sheet steel for building ships further along the riverside. So iron or in one end and ships out the other. |
