I think this small building was actually on the site of the new railway bridge, built around 1960 alongside the original, to separate the Great Central (Chiltern) traffic from the Metropolitan Line. The roof just below it on the edge of the photo is probably the George. The first George pub was demolished to make way for the original railway bridge in the late 19th Century and the "new" George was built nearby.
