The funnel and boat deck of a larger and more modern passenger ferry berthed next to the railway station More modern, but possibly not young enough to be a stern loading car ferry. There are no ramps in evidence and it is not possible to see the stern in the picture. |

Either "Cambria" or Hibernia", motor vessels of 1949 which served here until about 1975/76. |

This looks like another cargo ship in the dry dock. The LMS, Denny built, fleet also included "Slieve League" and "Slieve Bearnagh" |

Either of "Slieve Bloom" (1930) or " Slieve More" (1932), twin screw steamers on Irish Sea cargo services. |

I think this is TSS "Princess Maud" built in 1934 by Denny of Dumbarton for the LMS Stranraer - Larne service and transferred to Holyhead permanently in 1947. She was withdrawn in 1965 and scrapped in 1973 after service in Greece. |
