I am the eldest grandson of Harry and Annabel Matthews of Matthews Ironmongers of Ystrad Mynach I have Fond Memories of this Village and my Grandparents and their Old Style Ironmongers Shop (and Builders Merchants) but unfortunately NO photos. |

This is Ystrad Mynach looking North Holy Trinty Church to left of picture. Grid Ref ST143941 51.640873,-3.24042 Railway line along the top is the former Vale of Neath Railway running from Quakers Yard to Pontypool Road, via the Hengoed and Crumlin Viaducts |
