Hi,

During 1937 to 1939 our father Barrie Brettoner was one of the 'ace' organists who circulated throughout England; playing at various theatres.

Hastings was the last place before returning to Australia with our mother Daphne & my older brothers Robin & Trevor.

I would very much like to be able to make contact with anyone who remembers our father.

The Franklyn Davey tobacco factory now houses an amazing theatre :)

Built in 1914, now a restaurant.

On the year it opened.



Designed by the architect Elisabeth Scott

The Devonshire Park theatre in Eastbourne, still in use I think.

This one shows the Palace Theatre in Manchester, still in use.

The Royal Lyceum Theatre is next door to the round building.
