I think this is the site of an office block that used to be the Social Security and later the Inland Revenue - to the right of the photo further along Newbold Terrace is now the Magistrates Court and behind these buildings the Police Station. |

I think this is the statue of Queen Victoria outside the Council House. It was moved an inch or so on its plinth by 'enemy action'. |
