Strictly speaking the pin is on Alexandra Gardens so the trees to the north mark the line of Barry Avenue and the promenade, then the river and the vast expanse of flood water over The Brocas. When the floods receded, Alexandra Gardens had to be pumped dry because the raised Barry Avenue, intended as a flood defence, became a flood retention device! |

Could be confusing! Old Windsor is a couple of miles away. This is the Great Western Railway branch line from Slough in the Central Station, Windsor. |
