SOUTHERN HARVESTER, Whale factory ship. 1946 Built as floating factory ship SOUTHERN HARVESTER by Furness Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. , Haverton Hill for Chr. Salvesen & Co., Leith. Launched on 2 May, and delivered in October to the company The South Georgia Co. Ltd. Salvesen's flagship. Identical to Flk SOUTHERN VENTURER which can be seen to the left of her.
