PS "Embassy" was built for the joint LSWRly/LBSCRly Portsmouth to Ryde service when she was known as "Duchess of Norfolk" She was purchased by Messrs Cosens of Weymouth in 1937 and renamed as above.Considerably altered by her new owners she continued to sail out of Bournemouth until the end of the 1966 season, being scrapped the following year in Holland. |
