Looe Coastal Battery (along with structures to the right). Established July 1940 with 2 x4in naval guns. By 1943 replaced with 2 x 55in naval guns. as manned by 394 Battery of 557 Coast Regt until 1943 then Home Guard took over until 1944 when it went into care & maintenance. |
