" I have enjoyed going to the beach and exploring the bogs and marshes."
Ben Summers, age 9-14, Solway Nature Explorer.
The first week of The Solway Nature Explorers (9-14yr) Workshops is over. The group spent a week exploring the environment around the Solway Coast and learning new skills.
On the last day everyone was asked to write a postcard home to remind themselves of what they had learned during the week. The postcards were initially blank and everyone printed onto the front a stencil or a stamp cut during the mark making workshop.
The postcards will arrive home in a months time and will be a small reminder of experiences and memories which may already have begun to fade. Much like the archive photographs we hope to spark these memories again with a small snapshot of their week |
