Ladies Walk footbridge. This was eventually recovered and served for many years at Steamtown, Carnforth before being once again dismantled. It is currently up for sale, if anyone's interested!
The footbridge cameos here. I'm sure there are better photos out there.

Lancaster Carriage and Wagon company. Works built in 1863 by E.G Paley. Rolling stock built mainly sent for export. Works closed in 1908, the buildings then serving as a manufactory for munitions.
Despite the early closure a few items of exported rolling stock built here survive in amongst other countries, Australia!

Former "Little" North Western Railway line from Skipton North Junction to Morecambe. Opened in stages byut finkished as through route on 1st June 1850. Closed as a through route between Morecambe and Wennington to passengers on 3rd January 1966, then to freight on 6th June 1967. This section of the line remained open as a single line "long siding" between Lancaster Castle station and Lancaster power station, serving the latter until complete closure on 17th March 1976. |
