Streatham Hill & Clapham High School for Girls. One of the schools of the Girls Public Day School Trust. This was the senior school. Over the road (to the left) was the Kindergarten. The junior school was in a large house in Palace Road. (The prefabs behind the school were replaced by houses in the late 1950s.) The building now (2019) houses the junior school and the seniors took over Battersea Grammer Boys School, Abbotswood Road. Don't know what happened to the boys! |
