Temporary hall built for Hungarian refugees and other migrant workers. The surrounding housing blocks housed these workers. The houses had a common upstairs landing that ran the entire length of the block. Eventually, these were walled off and became individual houses. The temporary hall is long gone and newer houses now occupy the site. |
