I have been doing some research into this building, and whilst I was, I found out that Rotax made a line of rear lamps for cars that were called 'Torpedo', so I now think this the reason for the naming of the building, and that it is likely to have been deliberately misconstrued because it sounds more exciting to think it made actual maritime torpedoes. |
