| This area once served as covered sidings for the Metropolitan District Railway. I believe that they became redundant when Ealing Common depot was opened and were lifted.
The sidings were reinstated when the Piccadilly Line took over this section. |

It is thought that the garage building was the same structure as that previously used as a carriage shed in the former Metropolitan District railway sidings on the southern side of South Harrow station. The bus company (LGOC) and the Metropolitan District Railway were part of the same Underground group of companies. The bus garage was relocated to new premises in Harrow Weald in 1930. |
