| The old line to Newquay harbour, which closed in 1926. It was originally worked by horses, although a stationary steam engine worked wagons down a 1 in 4.5 gradient through a tunnel to reach the quays |

I think the building stated to be a signal box is in fact a small coaling stage. I think I can see the ramp up which laden trucks would be pushed to discharge directly into locomotives. |

If you look at EPW039803 you will see that it is a coaling stage. |
