A fair sized training Arena with what I've described as a Saddling Enclosure to right. But no fences, although possible hurdles visible. No well trodden paths within Arena either. Cricket Ground ? but no seating. |

That grandstand doesn't look like a temporary structure and its a good size. Not a training facility then. Most likely a County Show ground, but in period many of these were surely still peripatetic. The railings could be easily moved though if the stand also served a rugby ground in season. |

Much as I like the Skegness Stadium grid reference, I'm afraid I can't make the ditch/field boundary patterns fit. Yours, Katy Britain from Above Cataloguing Team Leader |

Thanks for all the suggestions and comments. Unfortunately we still can't make this image fit. The original Aerofimls Ltd Register entry says "Yeovil". Yours, Katy Britain from Above Cataloguing Team Leader |

It's only a guess, but I think this is Stourpaine Bushes, in Dorset - setting up for the Great Dorset Steam Fair. |

A bit early, the Great Dorset started in 1968-69. |

I wonder if this is the area now known as Skegness Stadium on Marsh Lane in lincs. |

Possibly Eaton Bray Modeldrome 51.893808,-0.616543 if photo dates from c 1945 - some features align although this is not a positive identification. |

It is a show ring somewhere, with a collecting ring alongside. In the foregoround are lines to which to tie cattle, etc. It is an agricultural showground, whereever it is |

In size and shape it resembles a Dog Racing track except for the "Saddling Enclosure". But no parking space for transport visible. |

Show jumping maybe? The stand suggests an audience. Also thinking agricultural showground, although there's none of the other structures that you would expect (see e.g. the pics at Caversham of the Royal Berkshire). |
