This building is still standing (October 2015), as is the Evangelical church building. In the sixties there was a fish and chip shop on the waste ground to the left of this building. |

Within 2-3 years of this photo, the kink in Byron Road was straightened. Masons Avenue swung left by the Evangelical church and was continued directly towards the camera as Christchurch Avenue, over the heads of the people "standing and staring" and continued, burrowing under the Rattler's line to meet up with Kenton Lane where the library is/was. Wealdstone swimming pool was built and opened in 1934 butting up to the garden fences running left to right |
