Site of Kenton Lodge. A substantial house contemporaneous with the nearby Kenton Grange and one of the few houses in Kenton prior to its post-WW1 development. By this time, the house had been demolished, although its driveway may still be discerned. All trace disappeared underneath the development of Charlton Road and D'Arcy Drive.

This I believe to be the old Kenton national school, the original school for Kenton dating from a time when the 'town' was a hamlet consisting only of a few farms. |
