Earl of Crewe pub, built in Queen Victoria's silver jubilee year, demolished in Elizabeth II's silver jubilee year. Now an Aldi built in a style sympathetic to the high pointed gables of the original building and incorporating the commemorative plaque to Victoria that graced the outside of the original building. The shop and the bus stop outside is still known as Earl of Crewe |
