In course of construction, this building became the Midland Bank, and was clad in white Portland Stone. In 2013 no longer a bank and in course of development - the external faces of the building are little altered. |

War Memorial, St Peters Square. In 2013 due to be moved to make way for new tram lines. The far side of the square is in development in 2013. The pale shape in the middle of the square with a cross in the middle marks St Peters Church, burned down many years ago. |

The War Memorial was designed by Edward Lutyens and similar to his design for the cenotaph in Whitehall. |
