Just off this drive about here (dug into the bank) was what i would guess was a WW2 air-raid shelter. By the 60s, blocked-off.

Corner Shop on Junct. Field Rd / Lower Paddock Rd Oxhey. Ran by my school chum's [Martin Rand] parents in the 60s to early 70s. This picture is earlier. Challoner's the News/Con/Tob was on the opposite corner. Challoner's was the place to go for every revolting kind of kiddy-sweets we loved. You know the kind of thing... penny chews, sherbet-dabs etc.
