The Bushey Heath terminus of the abandoned new works extension of the Northern Line from Edgware was planned to be constructed here. Certain preparatory ground works were completed, but the project was abandoned after WW2. Probably a good thing as this area, mostly still open countryside, would now have been another built up London suburb.

Aldenham Bus Works would be built here. The works was originally intended to be the rolling stock depot for the abandoned new works Bushey Heath extension to the Northern Line from Edgware.
