Firs Drive. Designed by D.A.Adam and built by John Laing & Sons Ltd c1932-34. Many of the houses were built with frontages looking onto one of two open green spaces. A large communal underground air raid shelter was built in the southern corner of the large green in 1939. |

Berkeley Parade. This Parade of shops along the A4 Bath Road, Cranford, continues into Berkeley Avenue to the south and to the west of the junction. The turreted roof design of this parade mirrors that of the Berkeley Arms Hotel opposite, built in 1932. |

The Travellers Rest Public House was about about half a mile east of this on the junction of the A4 and A30 opposite Henlys Garage.....and respect to CLASS31! ...how are you? |
