The Express Tavern, then a Benskins of Watford Public House. This was originally a Hawkes & Co (Water Lane, Bishop's Stortford) pub, who were acquired 1898 by Benskins of Watford. So the Express Tavern was not always the Free House we all know it today. |

The LMS platforms at Kew Bridge station, they would close in 1940. They were served by Electric "Oerlikon" trains at the time. |

This is Chiswick Village. Built in 1935. 280 flats arranges around central green.
We are told that this is the first building of its type, poured concrete and brickwork, in the UK. Many Local Authorities choose to copy its fabrication and some of its designs.
