| This is where Shepherds Bush LSWR station is busy decaying since closure in 1916, it was finally demolished in the 1950s.

I know from old railway maps that London has lost miles of rail routes to and from the centre, and also around the suburb's. Most of these losses were thanks to knee jerk reaction when passenger numbers decreased resulting in profits dropping. The two world wars were also a good excuse to close the lesser used lines. But, what I am coming to is "What would people living and working in and around these, many,now disused and long gone lines, give to have them back today"? Could a debate be opened up on this topic? | The former booking/ticket office for the LSWR Hammersmith (Grove Road) station. The Footbridge of the Hammersmith & City Line station once connected the two stations.
