Sinclair Drive Library
Langside Library is one of many in Scotland funded by Andrew Carnegie. Designed in 1913 and, opened in 1915. This was the first library in the city to let people pick their own books instead of requesting them from a counter.

Queens Park School (1876 - 1966)
Distinguished alumni include Manny Shinwell MP, Winnie Ewing MP, socialist campaigner John McLean, businessman and philanthropist Sir Isaac Wolfson, former Scotland football manager Ally McLeod and Stanley Jefferson, better known as Stan Laurel. A red letter day in the School's history was the visit of Laurel and Hardy during their UK tour in 1947.
