I often wonder how quite large ships were launched into the very restricted space of the Port Glasgow Harbour Wet Dock. Perhaps they were winched down to the bottom slipway at low tide and then floated off. A real mystery - perhaps someone knows ?

It survives and has been converted into loft apartments.
