I can confirm that these are variant Type 24 pillboxes, of 'double decker' construction, with an enclosed base (presumed used for storage) and access to the upper level by means of an external ladder. I have marked another one which is just visible at the top of the image. There are several of these around the perimeter of the site, of various heights depending on the lie of the land. Attached is a photo of one located in woodland at the north-west of the site. None of the structures within the factory perimeter are listed on Coflein. |
