This is Taffs Well, with the old Forgemasters to the top left of the picture. The bridge crossing the river Taff in the top right, to the left of the bridge was the junction public house, on the right of the bridge the houses were built to house the Pentyrch Furnace workers, these houses were known as "Orles Row", "Square Row" & "New Level Houses", later this was to become the site of Taffs Well rugby club, now a new housing estate. |
