This would have been the site where the Evening World had their building. Northville House? My uncle Frank Hudson worked there as Circulation Manager, then when they merged with the Bristol Evening Post, in the same capacity. He was also a Director for West Of England Kiosks. |

Walsh and Co 1840 and J W Arrowsmith 1857, both had aerial footbridges from their Quay St premises back to Bell Lane. An end party wall in Walsh and Co contained the blocked up west window of St Lawrence church. Dem. 1963 |

Corn Street runs to the right of the photograph, from the corner of Baldwin Street, up to Wine Street and High Street. St John's on the Wall also had Broad Street running from it up to Corn Street. |
