The tanker in the foreground belongs to the Eagle Oil Company of London. They later merged into Shell. Alongside is a luggage lighter used to transport vehicle across the Mersey, and at the bows two of the Mersey ferries. |

That is a vey large tanker for this period but the date is supported - by the lack of development on Beaufort Road and the surrounding areas - great photo |
