Ibrox Stadium main stand under construction which suggests the date of this photo (8th December 1928) is incorrect. The main stand which still exists today and is a listed building was officially opened on 1st January 1929 in a match Rangers won 3-0 vs Celtic.
There is no way this massive structure would have been completed in 3 weeks, meaning the date is far out.
More evidence of this is the image dated 20th December 1928 SPW020641 taken twelve days after this image showing a less completed Main Stand which indicates conflicting dates on the site? Can we assume the dates attached to all photographs on 'Britain From Above' are not all accurate?
