This would appear to be identical to the "HF/DF" site (Huff-Duff) at the former RAF Ibsley near Ringwood, Hampshire. Like this it consists of an irregular octagonal blast wall (practically all that remains today) within the confines of which is an octagonal concrete plinth on which the 30 ft wooden tower was bolted (with some of the bolts still in situ). A small fixed aerial array (non-rotable) of 4 vertical dipoles in an 'H' configuration was on top of the tower, and would give instantaneous trace indication of direction on an oscilloscope display from an aircraft's r/t transmission. It is assumed that the operators were housed inside the tower.

Surrounding the blast wall at a radius of approx 90 ft were 16 concrete marker blocks (13 still in situ) at 22.5 degree spacing which are assumed to have been some sort of calibration aid. 100 metres away are the foundations of what may have been an accommodation block, together with an air raid shelter. A similar arrangement appears to be the case here to the right of the tower with a pathway leading to it. Further information on the Geograph and 'New Forest Remembers' websites.
