When the line opened, this was the first terminus. Greenwich station opened a little later as it was not yet completed; the construction of the lifting bridge over Deptford Creek was the cause of the delay. (The present Greenwich station was rebuilt when it became a through station and is much younger than the one at Deptford.) |
