In the early 70's, this was a kiosk ran by a nice couple. His name was John, & he always had a fag hanging from the corner of his mouth. They sold Newspapers, Cigarettes, & sweets. They existed solely for the AEC workforce, & a few school children. Whilst walking to school during the three day week of early 1974, on off days, the works were strangely silent, & the kiosk was closed.
They were still there in the late 70's, although I had left school by then. I guess they closed the kiosk when the AEC works shut down for good. |
