Terminal point for tram routes 16 & 18 to Blackfriars. Both routes followed the London Road to Kennington where they parted company. The 16 went clockwise, and the 18 anti-clockwise round the Embankment to Blackfriars returning to Kennington and on to Purley. Both routes were withdrawn under stage 3 of Operation Tramaway on 7th April 1951 being replaced by bus route 109. |
