Were these sheds the remains of the vast WW1 munitions complex (No 7 Filling Factory) that operated in the area South of North Hyde Road back to Cranford Park?
It could well be that these remaining sheds were utilised as site offices and storage by the building contractors who developed the large housing estate that covered the site during the inter-war period. Were the caravans accommodation for some of the contractor employees? |
