Bury High School. It became a comprehensive school known as Wellington School in 1958 when The Derby Grammar School opened - all Bury High School pupils transferred over to the Derby Grammar School. When The Derby Grammer School then became a comprehensive school in 1979, and the sixth form (upper and lower sixth as they were known) moved to this building which became Peel Sixth Form College. |

The modern tram line (Metrolink) passes under Manchester Road using this old bridge, but instead of following the line of the old track turns towards the left to terminate more in line with the Market St/Knowsley St junction. |

The new Metrolink tram line passes near this point, on the left is the tram terminus and a major bus station, where Market Street and Knowsley Street meet. The tram line then passes towards the bottom of the picture, passing under Manchester Road just past the Knowsley St/Manchester Road junction. |
