This was a 'stamp collectors' shop, certainly during the 70's and 80's.

This building of 1878 was the Cocoa Tree, a temperance movement coffee tavern and social gathering place. At the time of this photograph, it was probably being used as the local Conservative club.

The Victory (originally The Ship). Demolished in 1958. Not to be confused with the later pub of the same name in an earlier building just around the corner in the High Street, which was previously a general store.

The Red Lion, Bridge Street, Pinner. Now a block of flats - "Red Lion Parade" - with shops below, but still the location of the main bus stop in Pinner.

I think this small building was actually on the site of the new railway bridge, built around 1960 alongside the original, to separate the Great Central (Chiltern) traffic from the Metropolitan Line.

The roof just below it on the edge of the photo is probably the George. The first George pub was demolished to make way for the original railway bridge in the late 19th Century and the "new" George was built nearby.

I believe that you're right, Roy. A close-up does not look like The George. I wonder what the building was. Are those petrol pumps in the front?
