Ship be manoeuvred into (or out off) a dry dock. The gate is open, hinged out across the mouth of the neighbouring dock to the north, while two tugs appear to be lining up ship to be pulled in by ropes and capstans. The gate will then be shut and the water pumped out. The dock to the north is dry with a ship being worked on.
These two dry docks and two further docks build where the slipways are to the north, seem to be all that remains of the ship building elements in this scene in a 2014 aerial image. |
