Disused platform of Rugby Road Halt, closed in 1917, but it's decaying remains were still there in the 1950s. The Goods service closed with the line in 1965.

This was the Main Entrance to the Diesel Factory.Over the top was the tool room.On the third floor was the Tool Drawing Office and on the top floor was Sales Engineering. |

At this time,1960's this was the Electrical Factory. |

This was A Block.This was the short order department and on the top floor the short order pumping element and injector mfc.
Large B,C,and single Cylinder pumps(until moved to Bryce) were made.
I think A3 was electrical. |

This was the sight of the Engineering School in 1960 when I started work as an Apprentice.
The Supervisor was Mr Frampton,
Instructors were Bunny Yates Stan Blackwell Mr Wells and A N Other who was the Grinding Instructor. You walked through to the Pattern shop and the Tool room. |

I was an apprentice there in 1978. Mr Wells was in charge then, (if it's the same chap). Other instructors were Mr Allinson, & Mr Goodman. Mr Goodman would let me nip off for a fag. He would usually give me a chitty for some useless piece of stuff from the main stores many minutes walk away. |
